On May 21, 2009, Congressman John A. Boccieri (D-OH), an Iraq war Veteran, introduced HR 2546 (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:H.R.2546.IH:) l "To ensure that the right of an individual to display the Service Flag on residential property not be abridged. "
This Bill finally passed the House on May 19, 2010. It is now in the Senate and has been referred to a sub-committee.
I believe it was your letters of support that carried this measure through the house as it ended up with 56 co-sponsors. When we initiated this effort, there were none!
If you wrote to your Senator before, please write again. They may have forgotten since the last major effot was a year ago.
